identity
I went to a dinner gathering of travellers last Friday evening and ended the night pondering about my identity. I was asked where I was from and I said Australia. Later I was asked whether I considered myself a local in Hong Kong to which I said yes. Then the person jokingly said that I am an Australian local in Hong Kong. That got me thinking. Who am I? What is my identity and does it really matter? I am a citizen of the world right? Perhaps if we would just stop classifying people into groups there would be less bloodshed in the world!
