2 months since

It's been nearly 2 months since I last wrote. Hold ur horses, b4 u start yelling obsenity, let me explain! Well, in July, I quitted my extremely boring job that I have been complaining 2 u about. Of course I really wanted 2 tell u guys before hand but I couldn't because I didn't want to give my over controlling boss the heads up, if he was spying on me! Anyway, after I quitted, I decided to go to HK to meet up with my sister whom I haven't seen for nearly 2 years. I found that my sister has changed alot since I left her in London in October 2004. She now wears makeup everyday and is more selective about the clothes that she wears. I guess it's all good!

My sister and I treated our parents to a 10-day tour of Egypt. We chose Egypt because it was the cheapest destination although in the end, it wasn't that cheap. The highlight of the trip for me was definitely the pyramids, followed by the sphinx, valley of the kings and Abu Simbel. It was oh so hot and dry! I experienced my hottest day to-date in Aswan. I believe the temperature reached 46 degrees Celsius. I reckon I could've fried eggs on the concrete sidewalks! We had a very interesting tour guide, she lost her temper twice with the locals. In my opinion, both incidents were avoidable and were direct consequences of her lack of respect for Arabs more than anything else.

Anyway, after my return from Egypt, I suffered diahorrea for a whole week and had to consult a doctor 3 times. Man it was horrible, I didn't want to leave the house that week and I also didn't have an appetite! Consequently, I lost 10 pounds. Thank God I am better now. Funny that I didn't suffer diahorrea when I was in Egypt but suffered diahorrea in familiar surroundings! The weather in HK is worst than Egypt even though it is not as hot, it is extremely humidity. Not to mention the sun rarely shines and rain is always a possibility. A bit like London, except for the heat.
